Welcoming Caregiver Becca!

Welcoming Caregiver Becca!

Here at Ambiance Care, we’re very proud of our exceptional team. Every member of staff is handpicked because they bring something special and share our passion for providing the very best in class dementia care in Stockport and East Cheshire.

We’d like to introduce you to our newest recruit, Becca, who is our youngest ever staff member and brings with her plenty of contagious youthful energy and a real lust for life. We’re delighted to have Becca onboard and asked her to tell us a bit more about herself and why she made the decision to work for Ambiance Care – here’s what she had to say.

What’s your professional background?

Before joining Ambiance Care, I worked for another homecare business based in Bury and also gained experience in customer service roles, worked as a receptionist and in accounting. I’m also a Level 2 qualified hairdresser.

Any key areas of experience?

I have many years’ experience in customer service, which has helped me hone my skills in areas like communication, organisation, timekeeping and how to read situations and different atmospheres. When I was 20, I worked in homecare for around 6 months, which I absolutely loved. I enjoyed visiting different families and caring for all the different individuals.

Both of these roles have given me some great skills for putting into use at Ambiance Care, where I’m sure I’ll build on them further.

Why did you decide to work with Ambiance Care?

I wanted to start a new journey with a company that’s dedicated to giving nothing but the best support to workers as well as to clients, and I believe everyone at Ambiance Care does that.

Diane and the other staff are so welcoming and friendly, and lots of support is given. Ambiance Care have nothing but good feedback.

What are your own values when it comes to work?

I am very hardworking and reliable, and I’m committed to going above and beyond to help others in their day-to-day life. Putting a smile on someone’s face is the most important thing to me, and if I’ve managed to do that, I know I’ve done my job properly.

What do you enjoy about working for Ambiance Care?

I really value the support and communication between the other staff members and Founder Diane. I am very new to the company but I believe everyone works well as a team here. Meeting and visiting different people and families each days makes the job so exciting and fun. I enjoy being able to make their day and know that I’ve done my best, and that it is appreciated by others.

Another part of the job that I enjoy is being able to take our clients out; you can see the huge difference in them and how it brightens up their day to be able to get out for a couple of hours.

What do you hope to achieve through your work?

I have a few goals I’d like to achieve through Ambiance Care. The first is to develop a deep understanding of my working environment and to gain the trust of the rest of the team.

Another key goal for me is to eventually become an expert in this field. I’ve always been a caring person who wants to help others and support people in achieving their best, whether that’s something small or big.

I’m a firm believer that if you work hard you’ll get where you want to be in life, so I also hope that through the work I do and support I give, I gain plenty of positive feedback.

Welcome to the team, Becca – we can’t wait to see your career blossom here at Ambiance Care!
