Ambiance Support

Just enough support to live your best life

Helping someone you love face the challenges that come with dementia and memory loss can be exhausting, upsetting, and isolating. Supporting a loved one with dementia requires both a practical understanding of the illness itself and an insight into the psychological and emotional journey that often takes hold as the condition progresses.

However we know from personal experience that getting the right home care for people living with dementia can be difficult and that people often feel home care services are limited in their understanding of the condition and how best to respond.

Ambiance Care was established to proactively support the diverse needs of people living with dementia, placing the person and their loved ones at the heart of its service.

Our Support

Ambiance care provide innovative home care for people living with dementia or experiencing memory difficulties enabling them to maintain their chosen lifestyle both at home and in the community.

Our principle of ‘just enough support’ ensures the person and their family maintain their independence, improve their sense of wellbeing and take control of their lives during the dementia journey.

We pride ourselves in developing positive relationships with the person and their family. We listen carefully to what is important to them and design support together.

Our Caregivers

Our Caregivers are genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with dementia, adopting a can-do attitude in everything they do and a willingness to go the extra mile.

We have carefully chosen our caregivers based on their caring and compassionate nature and equipped them with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to feel competent in their role.

Our caregivers understand each day can be a different, that a person’s abilities can fluctuate and how this can make them feel. They naturally observe and monitor for changes adapting their approach, accordingly, enabling the person to hold on to their abilities longer, reinforcing their sense of autonomy.

Ambiance care has equipped them with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to feel confident and competent in their role, assuring the person and their family that they will continuously receive high quality reliable and consistent support at all stages of their dementia journey.

Support to live your life, your way

Ambiance care believe it’s often the small things that make a real difference in the lives of people living with dementia; seeing friendly familiar face, a warm smile, chatting over a cup of tea, sharing an activity, or just by stepping into their reality. All of these things contribute to an overall sense of wellbeing and provide genuine opportunity for relationships to be built and prompt conversations.

This positive relationship enables a person to feel comfortable and assured they are being supported by caregivers who really know and understand them, how they are feeling and how best to respond. Our dedicated caregivers will always work alongside the person, never taking over, understanding the person may need more time to do things for themselves or do the activities they enjoy and give them purpose.

For those with dementia, there is nowhere more comforting than the home they know. It is where they store their memories, as well as where they keep their things. It is a part of who they are and where they should be able to stay. We are passionate in our belief with the right combination of support and care, most people with dementia can.
