In our clients’ words…

In our clients’ words…

Making a meaningful difference to the lives of people with dementia in Stockport, East Cheshire, South Manchester and Trafford is our mission at Ambiance Care, and we’re fortunate to have a full book of clients – many of whom send us lovely compliments.

Caring for people with all kinds of memory loss is something we’re passionate about, and while we never expect words of praise for what we do, it’s truly heart-warming when we do receive positive feedback about the service we provide.

It’s been almost a year since we last published a roundup of reviews and we’ve built up quite a bank of compliments in that time. We know it’s important to potential clients to see what others have to say before choosing the right dementia home care service for a loved one, so we’re publishing our most recent feedback here. We hope you enjoy reading the accounts as much as we loved receiving them!

Sue, Liz, Carol and Sheila

Sheila enjoying a spot of gardening!

“I can’t believe how much you have done with her in such little time. The very fact that she’s not distressed or worried by your presence is fantastic. My sisters and I all agree that mum has had more time and quality care in just her introductory visits with you, than she had in the entire time with the first care team we tried! I can’t begin to tell you how grateful we are. Honestly, we are thrilled!

Sam and Sue

“Thank you, Diane, for the amazing work you did in getting mum out each week, I know she loved both yours and Angela’s company and her nails never looked so good!”

Liz and John

John on our visit to his childhood church.

“Dad really enjoyed the visit to the church and brought a tear to all our eyes. Also, well done for getting him to eat before 2pm – he hasn’t done that for years!”

Sharon and Sheila

“Diane’s support for Mum has been invaluable. I can’t speak highly enough of Diane and her person-centred approach to dementia support. Diane has really helped to bring out Mum’s capacity and lift her spirits, offering her companionship and friendship, taking her out on visits when Covid allowed and doing some really great memory support work with Mum.

Sheila, her husband and daughter.

“Your constant support to me and mum has been invaluable during what has been a very difficult time, which I don’t feel we would have got through without you.”

Claire and Dorothy

“Can I thank all the team at Ambiance for the love and care you have given every morning, which has set Dorothy up for the day. You are all angels.”

Philippa and Antonia

Antonia on one of our days out.

“I just wanted to say thanks for all you are doing. My mum tells me about your outings, and it sounds as if she is having a great time. Thanks so much!”

Lillian and Alan

Lillian and Alan.

“I can’t thank you enough for all your help, support and just being at the end of the phone when I need you. The care you provide is outstanding and I tell everyone this who I meet. Since Alan has been in hospital and now in a care home it is even more evident just how exceptional you are, your knowledge and skill at negotiating a placement for Alan when I was lost and on my knees. From toilet seats to arranging physiotherapy, nothing has been too much trouble and you always come with a smile. I’ll always take comfort from when Alan saw you again after returning home from hospital; his smile and reaching out for a hug spoke a thousand words.”

When we established Ambiance Care, it was with a view to enriching the lives of people living with dementia, and those of their loved ones. We’re grateful for the heartwarming comments we regularly receive, as well as the lovely flowers, cards, gift vouchers and special occasion meals – we’re always bowled over by our clients’ generosity and response to our service.
