Stockport dementia specialist Ambiance Care welcomes Registered Manager

We could never have predicted how busy we would become at Ambiance Care in the last year but thankfully, our newest recruit has come on board at just the right time to help us continue to deliver the very best dementia care while managing the many responsibilities of a growing business.

Join us in wishing a very warm welcome to Ambiance Care’s Registered Manager, Sue Waldron!

Living locally in Hazel Grove, Stockport, Sue has more than three decades’ valuable experience in social care and business development. We asked her to tell us a little bit about herself, her skills, and what she hopes to achieve in her new position at Ambiance Care.

Sue – what’s your professional background?

“I’ve worked in and around social care for more than 35 years, starting as a care assistant when I was 16 years old and progressing into residential care and roles in community settings.

“Having completed my Certificate in Education and my CIPD qualification, I have a strong background in training; I’m also a qualified assessor and internal verifier. My wider workforce development experience has included roles in HR, compliance and business development.”

What does your role at Ambiance Care involve?

“The role of the Registered Manager is varied but, in a nutshell, I will be responsible for ensuring the business continues to grow and is compliant with CQC fundamental standards and Key Lines of Enquiry.

“Other key duties include monitoring and maintaining an outstanding quality of service for our clients and families, and supporting our Caregivers through their recruitment, induction and ongoing development, and in their roles.”

Why did you decide to join the team at Ambiance Care?

“I love Diane’s passion for delivering outcome-focused, person-centred care for families. I’m excited to be involved in what I believe to be a unique service that will allow me to use the full range of my skills, knowledge and experience.”

What are your own values when it comes to your work?

“Integrity is my base value, with honesty, trust and respect being really important to me.”

What do you hope to achieve at Ambiance Care?

“I believe that my operational service, learning, wider workforce and business development experience perfectly complements Diane’s social work background and her personal experiences of supporting her mum.

“Together, our objective is to develop a business that offers an outstanding service to our clients and their families, as well as being a great place to work and develop for all of our team.”

Welcome to the team, Sue!
